Electric Cassettes

Electric cassettes offer a flexible way to create a bespoke electric fireplace. Rather than being supplied as a complete fireplace with a conventional surround or fascia, a cassette provides the flame and fuel-bed effect that can be incorporated into your own fireplace design, feature wall, furniture or custom installation.

They are particularly useful for projects where standard fireplace dimensions or designs are too restrictive. Electric cassettes can be used to create contemporary open fires, long linear displays, fireplace openings and other bespoke features, depending on the individual product and installation requirements.

Modern electric cassette technology can create remarkably atmospheric effects using illuminated logs, embers, flames and, on selected models, water vapour or other specialist flame technologies. Because they are electric, there is no need for a conventional chimney or gas supply, giving designers and homeowners much greater freedom over where a fireplace can be positioned.

Some cassette systems are modular, allowing multiple units to be combined to create a wider fire display. Others are designed as standalone units for more compact installations.

Before choosing an electric cassette, consider the finished opening size and how the cassette will be viewed. Check whether your chosen model includes a heater, as some cassette products are primarily decorative. You should also allow for access to electrical connections and future servicing.
