These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of goods from BuyFires.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an Order you agree to be bound by these Terms. If there is anything you do not understand or wish to discuss, please contact us at sales@buyfires.co.uk before ordering.

3. Application

  1. These Terms apply to all purchases of fires, fireplaces and related goods (“Goods”) from our website.

  2. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have capacity to enter into binding contracts.

  3. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will appear on this page.

4. Order Process & Contract Formation

  1. All Goods and dispatch estimates are described on each product page. Dispatch times may vary by item.

  2. To place an Order, follow the on-screen steps and check your details carefully before submission.

  3. A Contract is formed when we email you an Order Confirmation. Please check it carefully and notify us immediately of any errors.

5. Prices & Payment

  1. All prices include UK VAT at the applicable rate.

  2. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and other major debit/credit cards (excluding American Express).

  3. We also offer PayPal, including “Pay in 3” financing via PayPal Pay in 3.

  4. Payment is taken at Order stage, or as otherwise specified on the product page.

6. Delivery

  1. We deliver to mainland UK only. If we agree to deliver elsewhere, you may be liable for import duties or taxes.

  2. Delivery charges vary by carrier and are shown at checkout.

  3. Once your Order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. Please ensure you have received the Goods before booking any installation.

  4. Risk passes to you on delivery. Title remains with us until we have received payment in full.

7. Returns & Cancellations

  1. You have the right to cancel and return unused, undamaged Goods in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

  2. You must notify us in writing (email is sufficient) within the 14-day period.

  3. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.

  4. Goods must not have been installed or used. We cannot accept installed items.

  5. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned Goods, using the same payment method you used to Order.

8. Warranties & Guarantees

  1. Any manufacturer's warranty is detailed on the relevant product page. Please read it carefully.

  2. You must not book any installer or commence installation until you have received and inspected the Goods.

  3. We do not exclude or limit your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Limitation of Liability

  1. We exclude all liability for loss of profit, business interruption or any indirect losses.

  2. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the price you paid for the Goods concerned.

  3. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., acts of God, carriers’ strikes, supply-chain failures).

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy]. By ordering, you consent to our use of your data for Order processing and delivery.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  1. These Terms are governed by English law. Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  2. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

  3. In the unlikely event of a dispute, we propose mediation in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear before either party issues court proceedings.
