The Onyx Mirage 40i Arts – Polished Chrome is a premium 16-inch electric inset fire that combines Onyx’s patented Mirage Virtual Flame System with a clean, angular cast-iron frame with crisp architectural lines. The Arts front uses strong straight edges and a neatly stepped lower section for a smart, structured fireplace appearance. The polished chrome surface catches surrounding light and gives the decorative cast-iron front a crisp, reflective edge.
The decorative frame measures 510mm wide x 610mm high x 76mm deep. The fire is designed for a typical 16-inch fireplace opening and requires only 75mm of recess, making it a practical upgrade for an existing fireplace or a new installation.
Real-captured flame display
Mirage uses visuals captured from a real woodburning fire to create natural movement across its hand-painted, exposed log-effect fuel bed. Five presets let you choose High Burn, Medium Burn, Low Burn, Ember Glow or the contemporary Aurora setting.
Sixteen log and ember-bed lighting options, adjustable brightness and pulsing speeds provide further control. Internal log lighting, glass chippings and vermiculite add depth and a glowing fireside character.
Programmable heat and easy control
The thermostatic 2kW heater can maintain temperatures up to 28C. Use the remote control or MyFlame app to adjust the visuals and heat; the app also provides daily and weekly scheduling. Open-window detection and automatic Deep Sleep mode help reduce wasted energy.
Flame visuals can be enjoyed without heat, while fan-only mode provides gentle air circulation in warmer weather. The appliance produces zero direct emissions at the point of use and is Ecodesign compliant.

Delivery Information
We offer a nominated day delivery service on many of our products. Where this is selected, we will always do our best to meet your chosen date. For example, if you select a Tuesday delivery, we will typically dispatch your order on a next-day service the working day before.
However, once your order has left us and is with the courier, delivery is handled by a third-party network. While we work closely with our carriers, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused once the goods are in transit.
Deliveries are made on a kerbside basis only. This means the driver will unload the goods as close to your property as safely possible, but they are not insured to carry items into your home or unpack them.
Due to the nature of pallet deliveries, access must be suitable for large vehicles and pallet trucks. If you have any access restrictions, please let us know in advance.
Important: We strongly recommend that you do not book installers, fitters, or any other tradespeople until your goods have been delivered, as delays can occasionally occur.
